The best pizza is made fresh at a real pizza place. But somehow it just doesn’t feel right for a middle-aged man to go into a real pizza place and dig in all by himself. Solution? Find a seat at a comfortable bar across the street from the pizza place and call over with your order. Whenever I get the urge for a really good pizza, I get a seat at Bar Joan in Kigura-machi and order a Margherita pizza from Albero, which is right across the street. Only in a bar can you enjoy the wonderful combination of a fruit-flavored cocktail side by side with a good pizza.
