There are many strange things in this world. The master of Sekitoba used to be a motorcycle rider from downtown Yokohama, and occasionally he would hang out in my Tokyo neighborhood. And I would occasionally make an appearance in downtown Yokohama. Of course, the two of us have a lot of experiences and memories in common. When I start reminiscing about the old days, the time goes flying by, and suddenly it’s late at night.
Since I was once or twice on a motorcycle myself, I knew the name of a certain rider (and master-to-be). I knew he was even in a movie. He was a local legend for many reasons, and I never imagined that such a well-known person would be running a pub on a side street in Kanazawa. It’s quite a feeling to see such a person from my past now cooking up some off-menu fried rice just for me.
